93 ambassadors offer reflections to Pope Leo

The Italian review Carità Politica published Pensieri di 93 ambasciatori a Papa Leone XIV (Thoughts of 93 Ambassadors to Pope Leo XIV), a volume that gathers together reflections written by ambassadors to the Holy See.

“The volume has a twofold significance or purpose,” Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, president emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts. said at a press conference at the Vatican yesterday.

“On one hand, it seeks to make the Pope’s mission known within the various regions from which the ambassadors come; it is not always a given that the Pontiff’s actions are widely known,” Cardinal Coccopalmerio explained. “The second purpose is to offer the Pope, whether explicitly or implicitly, suggestions for his pastoral work, which encompasses the entire world and, by extension, each of the countries the ambassadors represent.”
