    This mess? This mess is as much physical as it is spiritual. What about the other messes that are more spiritual than physical? Capital punishment "inadmissible" under all circumstances? Consecrated species for unrepentant sinners? The threat of eternal hell for sinners goes against the "logic" of the Gospel? "Shades of gray" trump right and wrong? God wants obstinate sinners to continue in their way of life because it's the best they can do? Obedience to God is merely an ideal?
