Choosing sides removes the U.S. from legitimacy as a mediator in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. One resolution to this failure would be to immediately recognize a city in Palestine as the new home for the U.S. embassy to the Palestinians. This city, of course, would be chosen under approval of the Palestinian nation. Russia has already offered to take our place as the new mediator in the conflict. U.S. policy on foreign aid to a given county should be based on actual need, not on coercion.
