Democratic vice-presidential nominee Kaine 'personally' favors Hyde amendment

July 29, 2016

Senator Tom Kaine, the Democratic Party's vice-presidential nominee, has said that he still "personally" supports the Hyde Amendment, although he is apparently pledged to work for its repeal.

The Hyde amendment bars direct federal taxpayer funding for abortion.

Kaine said, on a July 29 CNN broadcast, "I have been for the Hyde Amendment, and I haven't changed my position on that."  Just two days earlier, the Clinton campaign revealed that Kaine had expressed a "personal" support for the pro-life legislation. "But as he's made clear, he is committed to carrying out Secretary Clinton's agenda."

Kaine has previously said that he is "personally" opposed to abortion, although he supports unrestricted legal abortion on demand.

Clearly, Kaine is a man of deep conviction, (in a carefree and ambitious way). --I cannot remember a politician admitting so openly that he would be hypocritical, but maybe this an example of applied situation ethics? Sort of like what the Pope seems to be suggesting in the case of Communion for the divorced and remarried? 'You know what I mean, I'm really against it' 'And afterall! I could be Vice President'.

Kaine (my former governor) is just another non-Catholic. As he campaigned for Governor, he told all of us about the time he spent with Mother Teresa and what an inspiration she was for him. Apparently "Mother Hillary" inspired him to be pro-abortion if he wanted the VP nomination!

What he supports, as all democrats do--and cleaned up a mite here--is trying to ride 2 horses with 1 backside. He's an embarrassment to all true Catholics.

We definitely all need to pray for a very confused Sen. Kaine...how can you be a Catholic on one hand but espouse an evil agenda that you admit is morally wrong??? Senator Kaine...WAKE UP MAN!!!
