CWN Editor's Note: The president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops reflected on current tensions between the United States and Canada.
Bishop Pierre Goudreault of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, Quebec, told the National Catholic Reporter that “we have a lot in common and, very recently, the relationship was very good. We hope it will continue.”
Catholics, he added, should not foment polarization, but instead “walk together in a spirit of peace.”
