CWN Editor's Note: In the wake of a jihadist attack in Benin, Bishop Martin Adjou Moumouni of N’Dali, Benin told the Fides news agency that terrorists have “made it clear that they want to prevent the Church from continuing its pastoral activities.”

The bishop said that the terrorist attack, carried out by an estimated 200 armed men, was aimed to kidnap soldiers, who might be exchanged for prisoners held by the government. He reported that the Islamic terrorists have pledged to launch further attacks, raising fears among his people.
