Pope renews plea for peace, release of hostages in Gaza

CWN Editor's Note: At the conclusion of his regular weekly audience on October 25, Pope Francis renewed his plea for peace in the Holy Land, and reminded the faithful of a day of fasting and prayer for peace on Friday, October 27. “I encourage the release of hostages and the entry of humanitarian aid in Gaza,” the Pope said. He reminded his audience that he would lead a prayer service for peace in St. Peter’s Square on Friday.
