CWN Editor's Note: The kidnappers who seized nine people in a September 16 attack on a Catholic church in Cameroon have contacted Church leaders with a ransom demand.
Archbishop Andrew Nkea Fuanya of Bamenda confirmed the ransom message, saying that some criminal groups see the Catholic Church as an “easy target.”
The kidnappers took five priests, one woman religious, and three lay people captive in an attack on a parish in Nchang.
