CWN Editor's Note: A Hong Kong court has set a trial date in September for Cardinal Joseph Zen and five other pro-democracy leaders, who are charged with register a charitable fund with the government.
The cardinal and his co-defendants were originally charged with colluding with foreign powers: a more serious offense under Hong Kong’s harsh national-security law. They now face fines if convicted.
The trial will begin September 19.
