CWN Editor's Note: Taiwan’s ambassador to the Holy See, Martin Lee, has blasted China for its “inflammatory” reaction to a visit by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying “to manufacture a crisis is a serious provocation.”
In a message to the Crux news service, the Taiwanese ambassador said that Pelosi’s visit was a routine diplomatic occurrence, and China’s overheated reaction was a threat to the stability of the region. He condemned China’s test-firing of missiles “Into waters near other countries,” and demanded that Beijing show restraint.
