CWN Editor's Note: Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, the preacher of the papal household since 1980, devoted his first Advent sermon to Galatians 4:4-7. He customarily preaches sermons to the Pope and members of the Roman Curia on Fridays during Advent and Lent—though the Pope was not present on December 3 because of his apostolic journey to Cyprus and Greece.
