US birth rate for 2020 hits record low

CWN Editor's Note: The US birth rate for the past 12 months is estimated at 0.35%, the lowest on record. In half of the 50 American states there were more deaths than births. While the decline in births is attributed by economists to the recession caused by the Covid lockdown, the birth rate has never fully recovered from a decline in the recession of 2008-2009.
