CWN Editor's Note: A federal appeals court has sided with the Chicago archdiocese in a case involving the dismissal of a parish music director who was involved in a same-sex marriage. Reversing an earlier ruling, the full Seventh Circuit ruled that the Church is protected from anti-discrimination law by the “ministerial exception,” which gives churches the right to determine their own standards for employees engaged in ministry.
