CWN Editor's Note: The John Jay Report found that between 1950 and 2002, 10,667 individuals alleged abuse by 4,392 priests and deacons. The Wall Street Journal reports that the number of Boy Scout victims “stepping forward climbed to 84,000, dwarfing similar allegations against the Catholic Church”—yet the Boy Scouts’ scandal has garnered far less media attention.

As a Canadian Catholic, I'm inclined, no doubt from the culture itself to forget that virtually all the English language news I read is written by the sons and grandsons of protestants who have infamously turned a jaundiced eye towards Catholicism and Catholics, be it poor Irish or Latinos. I've read that Latinos and Latinas hate ...as they should.. Latin"x". The CBC like the New York Times is horrible.
