New Archbishop of Manila named

CWN Editor's Note: Pope Francis has named Cardinal Jose Advincula to become the Archbishop of Manila, the largest archdiocese in Asia. He succeeds Cardinal Luis Tagle, who was appointed in December as prefect of the Congregation for Evangelization. Cardinal Advincula has been serving as Archbishop of Capiz, a post he assumed in 2011. He was raised to the College of Cardinals by Pope Francis last year.
