CWN Editor's Note: Cardinal Thomas Collins denounced new Canadian legislation on euthanasia in an op-ed for the Toronto Star. Noting that the law gives consumers a period of time for second thoughts before buying a condominium, he remarked that “the federal government doesn’t seem to believe a similar reflection period is necessary for euthanasia.” He called for greater support of palliative care, noting that option is currently available to only 30% of Canadians.
