Man shot, killed inside California church

CWN Editor's Note: A distraught man was shot by police at the altar of a Catholic church in Santa Ana, California, on Sunday. Witnesses said that the man—who appeared to be distraught—entered the church between services, carrying a gun, and at the altar when a police officer shot him. The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, died before reaching a local hospital.
