CWN Editor's Note: Pope Francis has met with the woman whose hand he had slapped during an appearance in St. Peter’s Square on December 31. The Pope had made a public apology on the day after the incident. He met with the woman, speaking with her briefly, after his regular weekly public audience on January 8. She had been seated in the section reserved for people who will greet the Pope.
