Poll examines political views of Catholics, evangelicals, other Protestants

CWN Editor's Note: 45% of Catholics approve of President Trump’s job performance, compared to 79% of white evangelicals and 34% of other Protestants, according to a survey conducted in December by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. 45% of Catholics favor making abortion illegal in most cases, 58% of Catholics would “prohibit discrimination against LGBT people,” and 27% of Catholics favor “separating children from their parents at the border.”
