CWN Editor's Note: In a message backing the annual appeal for Christians in the Holy Land—a collection taken up on Good Friday—Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, the prefect of the Congregation for Eastern Churches, says that the faithful in that region face “a situation of such injustice that hoping for peace seems almost rash.” Nevertheless, the cardinal notes with satisfaction a recent increase in pilgrimages to the Holy Land.
