English bishop establishes first traditionalist parish

CWN Editor's Note: Bishop Philip Egan of Portsmouth, England has established a parish dedicated to the extraordinary form of the Mass: the first such parish in the United Kingdom. The parish of St. John Fisher, in Reading, will be served by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

    Really great news. The best part about this accomplishment is that the FSSP is an expanding order of priests and parishes served. Our most significant problem has been finding a permanent place to hang our hat within a given diocese. It took us 3 years.
