CWN Editor's Note: On July 7, Pope Francis visited Bari, the site of St. Nicholas’ relics, for a meeting with the heads of the churches and Christian communities of the Middle East. The next day, after his Angelus address, the Pontiff “thank[ed] God for this meeting, which was an eloquent sign of Christian unity, and which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the people of God.” The Pope also prayed for seafarers, as July 8 was Sea Sunday.
