Congo bishops threaten suit after mayor breaks into diocesan building

CWN Editor's Note: Catholic bishops in the Democratic Republic of Congo are weighing a lawsuit against a political leader who forced his way into a diocesan building and tore down signs. Mayor Dolly Makambo of Gome destroyed posters inside the building that opposed President Joseph Kabila’s bid for re-election. The country’s bishops have called for adherence to the constitution, which bars a 3rd presidential term.
