CWN Editor's Note: Pope Francis has named Archbishop Victor Manuel Fernandez to be the Archbishop of La Plata, Argentina. He succeeds Archbishop Hector Aguer, whose resignation the Pope accepted promptly after the archbishop reached the age of 75.
Archbishop Fernandez has been a key theological adviser to Pope Francis, reportedly drafting papal documents including the apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium
