Pope opens Rome diocesan congress

Pope Benedict XVI will open an ecclesial congress for the Rome diocese on Tuesday evening, May 26, with a ceremony at the basilica of St. John Lateran. The diocesan congress will run through May 29, with Cardinal Agostino Vallini, the Pope's vicar for Rome, delivering the final address.
