Three new members named to Vatican bank board

Three lay financial experts have been added to the board of the Vatican bank, the Institute for Religious Works (IOR).
The three new members are: Scott Malpass, an American and former chief investment officer for the University of Notre Dame; Javier Marin Romano, a Spanish executive of Banco Santander; and Georg Freiherr von Boeselager, a German banker with Merck Finck & Privatbankiers.
The three new members of the board will join with the four other incumbents at meetings scheduled for January.
