Margaret Thatcher to meet with Pope

Lady Margaret Thatcher, the former British prime minister, will meet with Pope Benedict XVI in a private audience on May 27. The meeting-- arranged at the request of Lady Thatcher, who owns a villa outside Rome-- comes more than 30 years after the first occasion when Margaret Thatcher, then a rising star in the British political opposition, met with Pope John Paul II.
