British, Irish bishops discuss Brexit

During a recent meeting of EU bishops, four British and Irish bishops discussed the UK voters’ decision to leave the European Union.

The bishops emphasized, in the words of Bishop Noel Treanor of Down & Connor, that “uncertainty reigns,” and Auxiliary Bishop Nicholas Hudson of Westminster expressed concern about violence in the UK against foreigners, stating, “We as Church need to firmly condemn these crimes.”
