Suspects arrested in murder of Nigerian priest
September 22, 2016
Nigerian police have arrested four suspects in the murder of Father John Adeyi.
Father Adeyi, the vicar general of the Diocese of Otukpo, was kidnapped on April 24. His decomposed body was discovered two months later.
“Certainly, he is a victim of a failed state where poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment and youth radicalization have made kidnapping a commercial venture,” according to an article on the Archdiocese of Abuja’s website.
