Mormons donate $1.25M to USCCB refugee efforts

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has donated $1.25 million in cash and goods to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Migration & Refugee Services in order to assist refugees as they arrive in the country.

“This donation today is part of our ongoing relationship with the USCCB and our collective resolve to follow Jesus Christ and assist in bettering the lives of refugees,” said W. Christopher Waddell, a leading Mormon official.
