Emergency collection for Louisiana flood victims

August 25, 2016

The president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called upon parishes to take up an emergency collection on September 18 to provide humanitarian assistance to Louisiana flood victims and rebuilding assistance to affected dioceses.

“Our prayer and material support is urgently needed to help rebuild lives,” Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville said in a statement. “As many as 60,000 homes have been damaged, with nearly 20,000 people being rescued from the flood waters.”

Good news folks ! You can go to the Baton Rouge Diocese website at diobr.org They will distribute financial assistance as soon as the assessment of need has been completed. Maybe they could use your donation before September.
