Wisconsin parish defaced with swastika

August 19, 2016

A Catholic parish in the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin, was defaced with a swastika on the night of August 17.

The words “black lives matter” were also painted on the doors of St. Mary’s Church in Bangor, a town of 1,500.

“I think the seriousness of the symbolism and the wording shows disregard really for what these things mean in the greater public,” said Father Douglas Robertson.
