Pope plans another visit to Assisi in September

Pope Francis, who made a personal pilgrimage to Assisi earlier this month, plans another trip to the birthplace of St. Francis in September.
The Vatican has announced that the Holy Father will travel back to Assisi on September 20, to participate in an annual interfaith prayer gathering organized by the St. Egidio Community. The event will make the 30th anniversary of the historic World Day of Prayer for Peace, convened at Assisi by St. John Paul II.
