Czech cardinal calls for frank dialogue on causes of terrorism

August 10, 2016

Cardinal Dominik Duka of Prague has called for honest conversation about the causes of  recent terrorist attacks in Europe, including the slaying of Father Jacques Hamel.

To “remain silent or lie about the real causes of this condition would be tantamount to participation in the suicide of civilization,” he wrote in an August 6 blog post.

Surveying various prelates’ comments on Islam, Cardinal Duka wrote, “I agree with Pope Francis, that you cannot equate Islam and terror.”

The Czech cardinal also referred to Islam’s “violent tendencies” and called for prayer for victims of terrorism, rather than making “apologies and excuses” for terrorists.

I'm with the Cardinal. Being "politically correct" is most often not being TRUTHFUL(LYING).
