Kosovo will not extradite fugitive British ex-abbot

Citing the statute of limitations, a court in Kosovo has declined to extradite a fugitive English Benedictine ex-abbot, according to a report from a Serbian news agency.
Father Laurence Soper was arrested in Kosovo in May. The former abbot of London’s Ealing Abbey was previously arrested in 2010 on sex-abuse charges.
After being released on bail, he fled in 2011, turning up in Rome late in 2011 to withdraw funds from an account he held at the Institute for Religious Works, the Vatican bank.
