Vatican official: Amoris Laetitia calls for new style of ministry, but no new doctrine

June 09, 2016

In an address to 50 Nigerian bishops, the president of the Pontifical Council for the Family said recently that Pope Francis’s new apostolic exhortation on love in the family calls for a new style of ministry to families without changing doctrine.

“It is clear that a new ecclesial style is being called for, and this new style requires an understanding of the variety of situations that must be dealt with,” said Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.

“The Pope is not calling for new abstract doctrine or new legal rules,” he added. “In the exhortation, he recalls that while during the synods there was a variety of contributions from the participants, that variety has produced a many facet gem.”

That "many facet gem" (sic) is not a God-made natural gem. It is a synthetic, man made gem.
