Chicago archdiocese announces parental-leave policy

May 19, 2016

The Archdiocese of Chicago has announced plans to implement a parental-leave policy for lay employees.

Under the new policy, which comes into effect on July 1, full-time workers will be allowed to take three months off at full salary, and another three months without pay, after the birth of a child. The policy would apply to both mothers and fathers.
