Norway’s Lutheran church approves same-sex marriage

The Church of Norway-- the Lutheran body to which nearly three-quarters of Norwegians belong-- has approved church weddings for homosexual couples.
Same-sex marriage became part of Norwegian civil law since 2009, but the Church of Norway rejected ecclesiastical same-sex weddings as recently as 2014.
