February 23, 2016

The Venezuelan Episcopal Conference’s justice and peace commission, led by Archbishop Roberto Lückert León, has issued a statement decrying the “profound deterioration” in the state of health care in the nation.

Citing a shortage of doctors, medicines, and basic supplies, Archbishop Lückert also lamented the nation’s food shortages and called upon government leaders to move these concerns to the forefront of the nation’s political agenda.
