Pope's Synod exhortation to be published in March, Vatican official says

January 27, 2016

An apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis, summarizing the message of the Synod on the Family, will appear before the end of March, a ranking Vatican official has disclosed.

Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, the president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, made the disclosure in a talk with priests in Portugal.

The National Catholic Register reports that the papal document is now in its third draft form. The drafting of the exhortation, the Register says, has been done primarily by Archbishop Victor Manuel Fernandez, the rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, who has also been involved in drafting the Pope's documents, Evangelii Gaudium and Laudato Si'.
