Pop singers to perform before papal Mass at Madison Square Garden

Popular singers will entertain the crowd at Madison Square Garden before a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis on September 25, the New York Times reports.

Wouldn't it have been far more appropriate to have a prelude of Gregorian Chant and Polyphony? It would really set the tone for the Holy Sacrifice as well as bring calm and peace and transcendence to the public ceremony.

Par for the course Cardinal "Bravo"... The Faithful should avoid this entire spectacle for its grave evil: conflating entertainment with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
