Australian Labor Party moves to dismiss members who oppose same-sex marriage

July 27, 2015

Australia’s Labor Party has pledged to support same-sex marriage, and to require all party members eventually to join in that effort .

After tense negotiations, a Labor Party meeting voted to amend a resolution that would have required party members to vote in favor of same-sex marriage immediately. In a compromise measure, the party agreed that legislators would be allowed to vote according to their consciences-- for now. By 2019, however, all party members will be required to embrace the cause.

Bill Shorten, the Labor Party leader who engineered the compromise, assured members that “within 100 days of a Labor government being elected that I shall move in the parliament of Australia for marriage equality for Australians.”

Australia's Catholics have no need to worry. The Australian Labour Party is going the same way as the British - into oblivion. The people resent that party's support for institutionalized buggery, and will vote accordingly, as they did in the UK a few weeks ago.

Perhaps the Australian Labour Party needs to read the Kenyan President's warning and admonishment to Barrack Obama, a "son" of Kenya, when the American President tried to spread the idea of "homosexual equality" to the God-fearing nation of Kenya. Amen.
