July 20, 2015
Archbishop John Nienstedt, who resigned as archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis in June, has denied allegations of personal misconduct.
"It pains me deeply that my good name and reputation have been put into question by allegations that are entirely false and based wholly on rumor, hearsay, or innuendo," he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune, as he denied various allegations, including inappropriately touching a former seminarian and visiting a gay bar.
