Palestinian Authority seeks Vatican action to stop attacks on Christians, Jews in Jerusalem
March 05, 2015
The Palestinian Authority has urged the Vatican and the UN to take action to curb attacks on Christians and Muslims by militant Jews in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian foreign ministry issued a complaint that the Israeli government has failed to stop a series of attacks, including recent arson attacks on a Greek Orthodox seminary in Jerusalem and a mosque near Bethlehem. The incidents are being attributed to militant Jewish settlers.
“We call on the Holy See, the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council” to ensure that the attacks are stopped, the Palestinian statement said.
