Supreme Court will rule on same-sex marriage

The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear four cases involving state recognition of same-sex marriage, setting the stage for a ruling that could confirm or deny the authority of states to redefine marriage.
The Supreme Court will hear the cases during its spring 2015 term. A final ruling would be expected early in the summer.
