Society-- not just marriage-- facing crisis, Italian cardinal argues

Cardinal Angelo Scola of Milan has denied that the institution of marriage is facing a crisis.

In a new book, The Nuptial Mystery, that is now making its appearance in Italy, Cardinal Scola argues that the problems facing marriage and family life today reflect a deeper malaise in modern society. “What’s under crisis,” the cardinal argues, “is the deep understanding of who humankind is.”
