Pope highlights God's patience with sinful people
March 25, 2013
In his homily at a March 25 Mass for Vatican employees, Pope Francis suggested that during Holy Week the faithful should reflect on the enormous patience of God, in light of our own sinfulness.
"The patience of God is a mystery!" the Pontiff said. "How much patience he has with us! We do so many things, but He is patient.”
Following what has become his daily practice, the Pope celebrated Mass for a small congregation of Vatican workers in the chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae, where he has been living since his election to the papacy.
