Syria's Christians in peril, Melkite Catholic leader warns Pontiff

Melkite Catholic Patriarch Gregory II Laham of Antioch has written to Pope Francis, warning him that Christians in the Middle East, and especially in Syria, face immediate dangers.
"Interfaith dialogue and coexistence between Islam and Christianity are also in jeopardy," the Melkite prelate warned in his letter to the new Pope.

So much for the Arab Spring that this administration tried to convince everyone was a great thing. It points out how ignorant the US is of most regions of the world and how militant Islam spreads. Now the US wants to give Syrian rebels more equipment to push even more Christians from their homes- how stupid are we?
