December 10, 2008

A 33-year-old priest of the Diocese of Bismarck has been named president of the University of Mary in North Dakota and is likely the nation’s youngest college president. Father James Patrick Shea, who was ordained in 2002, is described as “an avid fan of literature and reading, especially the writings of C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and G. K. Chesterton.”
