43.8 million abortions worldwide; rate highest in eastern Europe

January 20, 2012

A study conducted by the World Health Organization and the Guttmacher Institute has found that 43.8 million surgical abortions take place annually, with the highest abortion rates occurring in eastern Europe.

Eastern Europe’s abortion rate (43 per 1,000 women of childbearing years) is over double the rate of North America (19 per 1,000) and over triple that of western Europe (12 per 1,000).

USA today et al are clearly out to promote more so called "safe" child murders. We shouldn't merely accept these statistics - biased or bogus research may be involved in making these claims. However, the annual rate of 44 million abortions demonstates how powerful anti Christian ideologies have become.
